About KP Design
My name is Kim Parsell, and I am KP Design.
I have been doing freelance web design since 2004. I became interested in web design early in 2003, and spent most of that year reading/studying tutorials, books, and courses that I found online to learn html and css. I started slowly, designing websites for family, friends, and my own personal sites in order to better my skills, all the while still reading everything I could find about web design. I am self-taught - I do not have a college degree in design hanging on my wall. My "classroom" has been practical, hands-on experience designing websites - what I needed to know for a project and didn't, I found the resources and learned.
My design philosophy is to provide a website that meets your needs, is well-organized, accessible and user-friendly, web-standards compliant, and compatible with most browsers used to surf the internet today. This philosophy is the direct result of surfing the internet for several years and viewing all types of websites and designs, from those that work flawlessly to those that take forever to load, then don't display or function properly.
Whether your project is a design for a new website or a redesign of an existing website, careful attention will be paid to every detail of the project, from beginning to end. Your website will be streamlined and optimized to ensure that it loads quickly, taking advantage of the latest in web technologies, and will be compliant with today's design standards.
I believe I'm up to the challenge of your project. If you feel the same way, you can go to the contact page to send me an email to discuss it.
